Time is flying and so is the summer! I can't believe we have already entered August. I will say we have had a wonderful summer and are taking advantage of this hot weather to be outside as much as possible. Our little Addie has really taken to all of the fun activities summer has to offer and is a very active, adventurous 15 month old (seriously where has the time gone??). Her favorite thing to do has to be visiting play grounds and trying all of the climbing structures and slides they have to offer. She has no fear and is actually very coordinated... the only thing that slows her down is when I put her in dresses!
Stats:
Weight: 24 lbs 4.5 oz (83 %)
Height: 32.5 inches (94 %)
Head Circumference: 46.5 cm (69 %)
Eyes: A very deep bluish greenish
Cloths: 18-24 months or 24 months and size 6 shoe
Diapers: size 4
Milestones:
She is very active and will climb on anything -- stairs, ladders, beds, couches, you name it, her determined little self will climb it
Some of her favorite toys include the fisher price piggy bank, fisher price cd player, toy smith sound puzzle box, cars/trucks, playing with the toy kitchen and she loves any push toys
Whenever she finds a stuffed animal she always hugs it and gives it kisses it is so sweet
She blows kisses now whenever we say bye to someone or good night
She points now! She always used to use her whole hand when trying to point to what she wanted but she has finally mastered the point
She really isn't into tv at all, which is so different than Owen but she has fallen in love with these short sing-a-long segments on Disney Jr. called Big Blocks. The music and simple animation rope her in and I will say they are pretty entertaining
Recently she has found her love for books which makes me so happy. If she finds a book she will bring it to any open lap, climb up and throw her book in their hands to have it read to her. If no one happens to be in eyesight she will get comfy and flip through the pages and "read" the book to herself
She can be very stubborn and strong willed when she wants something. She is not a fan of the word "no" and when you tell her "no" her immediate response is to cry -- like screaming, the world is crumbling around her -- holy wow she can be a drama queen sometimes. She is our little sassy girl
Overall she loves food and will try pretty much anything. She feeds herself and has started using a fork and a spoon with success
She has 8 teeth with 4 molars taking their time breaking through -- poor little girl always has a sore mouth but we sooth the pain with lots of freeze pops
She LOVES ice cream and this summer has been perfect to indulge in this
Sleeping ... oh sleeping... she typically still wakes up once a night but her morning starts with the birds. Let's just say its sleeping in if we make it to 6 am. Little lady, you really need to start sleeping better
Music runs through her. She loves to dance, twirl and jump, jump, jump!
She likes to imitate noises and sounds. One of her favorite games to play is to roar or squawk in the car and have Owen copy her, then it's her turn again and his and it always ends in a fit of giggles
Talking is coming. I think she is so active, focusing on her verbal communication is a little tricky but she is getting there. She can say mama, da (for dada), bye, ya, ut-oh, ball and I'm sure there are a few more I'm forgetting
