Medal Ceremony

Owen had a great time at T-ball! I am not sure how much he learned during t-ball but because he was playing it brought Owen and Eric out to the yard and they worked on batting and throwing together. Owen always looked forward to each game and did't want it to end.
Excited for his last t-ball game

On his last game (June 2015), Grammie came up to watch which made Owen soooo excited!! He did great fielding the ball and hitting and you could see a total improvement from the beginning of the season.
I just love those curls

At the end of the game each kid was presented a medal and wow - Owen was thrilled!!! I think he wore his medal around his neck for three days straight!! We all celebrated a great season with some ice cream - does life get any better???

Strawberry Picking

One of my most favorite things to eat have always been strawberries. In fact, for one of my birthdays my dad surprised me with one of my very own strawberry patch in our backyard and I was over the moon. So you can only guess how excited I was when Addie also showed a fond love for strawberries since she was itty-bitty. Naturally with her and my love for strawberries we took our first adventure as a family of four to do some of our very own strawberry picking. We went to a local strawberry patch about 20 minutes away from us - Verrill Farms. It was a very cloudy day with the threat of rain, but that didn't stop us! Owen couldn't wait to fill his basket with strawberries he wouldn't dare even try and Addie didn't know what to expect, she was just going with the flow.

We made our way to a good spot (it was very crowded and picked over - we went late in the season) and started hunting for those red juicy strawberries. Owen jumped right in and started picking the red (and not so red) berries from the bushes and at first Addie wanted nothing to do with any of it! Slowly Addie warmed up and started hunting for her own berries. It was funny to watch because almost every time she would go down, find one and come up eating a very under ripe strawberry still yellow! It didn't phase her though she was happy as a clam. Owen was a master picker and filled his bucket quickly and helped Addie with hers.

Virginia Fun

After Noah's birthday we didn't really have any other big plans during our visit. We just wanted to get the kids together to play and get to spend as much time as we could together. We did a lot of playing outside in the beautiful sunny weather. Splashed around in the water, played a little baseball and did some scootering. It was such a wonderful trip!!
