Ho-Ho-Ho Irish Club Style

As I have posted in the past, my Grammie (who is now called Gigi by Owen and Addie) use to take my brothers and I to her Irish Club right in Westfield every year when we were little (up until we were age 12) to sit on Santa's lap and get a present. It was something we always looked forward to and I have so many great memories waiting to hear my name called, getting to sit on Santa's lap, get not only a present but two sugar cookies and a hoodsie ice cream cup! And now the tradition continues, and Gigi now takes Owen and Addie to a much more low-key event but still just as special.

Owen was so excited to go this year and was so excited to sit with Santa. Not only did he get to sit on Santa's lap but he also got a little snowman painted on his face and made a card that was going to be mailed to our troops overseas. We all got to have a little breakfast, Owen got an awesome remote control plane and he got to spend the morning with Gigi, Grammie and Papa. Addie wasn't so thrilled with Santa this time around, but loved her little pop-up gift and of course all of the extra cuddles.

I think my most memorable part of the day will always be this little gem of a picture we captured. I asked Owen to put his arm around Addie and smile for a picture and well this was the result:

He honestly was being so good and had the best intentions. He was actually excited to get a picture with his sister! Brotherly and sisterly love at its finest!
