A PNS Birthday Celebration

At the end of April, Owen's preschool celebrated their 69th year as a school - which is crazy to think about and such an accomplishment. Since they are a semi-cooperative school, one way they bring in new toys for the kids is through a "wish list" that is sent out to the parents and on the schools birthday each child brings in a small gift and unwraps during their meeting time. Owen picked out a few new balls for the playground as well as some new train tracks and trains for his classroom. After their meeting time, we were all invited to attend a little party for the school with cake and balloons and free play on the playground. It is low-key but the kids got a kick out of it. Last year we all went, sang happy birthday and played on the playground. It's always so fun to get a peek at why Owen loves school so much and to see him so happy to share his school with us.

My handsome little man - I love how he drew his whole family in the card
Daddy came to the party too! Such a treat for Owen

T-Ball

My little 4 year old buddy got to try out T-Ball for the very first time last year (May 2015). We signed him up for our local town's t-ball and overall it was great. The season started about a month late because of the massive amount of snow that just didn't want to leave the fields, but it might have been better that way because it also brought warmer weather to the games :).

The season started with an informational pizza meeting with all of the teams to meet the coach and get their uniform and hat. Owen's team was the Clippers and his sponsor was Rancatori's Ice Cream (which was just a cool team sponsor to have for your first year of t-ball). He had a black jersey and as luck would have it he was randomly assigned #8 as his number (Eric's college volleyball #8 and our wedding day 8/8). He was also on the same team as his best buddy from school Josephine.

The season lasted about 6 weeks and he had games twice a week. The games lasted about an hour each time and were pretty entertaining to watch. Each game consisted of 2 innings - each team took the field twice and batted twice. Everyone scored and runs didn't matter.

 Good game!

The first game was hilarious watching the kids try to field the ball. They looked like a pack of puppies chasing a brand new tennis ball. Meanwhile the kids batting didn't know where to run -- some just stood at home base, some kids hit the ball and chased after their own ball, other kids ran to third base instead of first - seriously it was so awesome to watch.

Addie's 1 Year Pictures

We all know that Addie is hit or miss with professional pictures. She is either ok with having her picture taken or is not a willing participant at all. For her one year pictures, I didn't go in with any expectations which was probably a good thing. I actually waited until she was out of her cast so I got these done right at the beginning of May. She was a wreck for the first half of the pictures but rebounded and we managed to get a few good ones near the end. Thank goodness for my camera loving little boy - he saved the day and session. While Addie warmed up, Owen cheesed it up and showed Addie how it is done.
