Summer Nights and Summer Days

One of my favorite parts of the summer has to be the summer nights that it brings. I love when it finally starts to get a little cooler from the hot day that it is bearable to go for a walk and relax outside. This is often when we go over to the park, splash park, walk up to our ice cream shop or just hang out in our backyard. It works out great because I don't have to worry about the sun eating Addie, its cool enough that Owen doesn't turn into a total sweat monster, and Lexi gets to get in some exercise without panting her little head off. On top of everything else, Eric is usually home from work so we get to have some family time which is an added bonus. Since I got a little behind on my posts this summer, here are some of my pictures from our summer nights and days!

Owen stopped one afternoon just like this. When I asked him what he was doing he told me he was watching the soccer guys

 One buggy afternoon I set up the baby tent for Addie to kick around in ... well Owen wanted to get his tent out too so they had a camping party in the backyard

 We ended up at a small splash park one day and since it was unplanned I didn't have any of Owen's swim stuff. He had a blast playing in the water with his cloths on and thought it was such a special treat

 The summer brought a lot of contraction to our streets - which made one little preschooler very happy! 

 And we did a lot of scootering 

 She loves going for walks and being outside 

 One night Owen and I went on a rock hunt and after we collected our rocks, he got to paint them

 We spent a lot of hours at various splash parks to combat the hot summer days

 He loved all his visits to Grammie's and Papa's so he could swim in the big pool 

 She liked going too 

 We did lots of dress-up

 And Papa and Grammie got Owen his first big boy bike!

I'll miss these days/nights dearly as fall is creeping slowly on our heals, but I have enjoyed every single one!
