Our little lady has hit the 6 month mark! She is a happy baby, content when being held, loves to be outside, is a trooper in the car, truly adores her big brother and finds Lexi just hysterical. Sleep hasn't been her strength and starting tomorrow, we are doing sleep training per the doctors orders.
Stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 14.5 oz (79.5 percentile)
Height: 26.5" (72.6 percentile)
Head Circumference: 42.5 cm (56.6 percentile)
Diapers: Size 3
Cloths: 6-12 months or 9 months depends on the brands
Eyes: Blue
Milestones:
We have a roller! She can successfully roll from her back to belly and belly to back
We also have a sitter! She can sit unassisted but still needs something behind her for the occasional topple over
When in a sitting position she likes to reach for toys and will often flop onto her belly
Still likes to sleep on her side, sometimes when I peek at the monitor she is on her belly
She can successfully take her binkie in and out of her mouth
We tried solid food when she was 5 and 1/2 months and she just wasn't into it. We don't know if it bothers her or if she just wasn't ready but now that she is 6 months we are going to try it again. Crossing our fingers she starts to enjoy it
She occasionally gets the case of the "screamies" and screams and shrieks but is so happy doing it, it's adorable
Loves to go for walks outside and be carried in the bajorn
She is very curious and observes everything. She isn't always vocal but she is constantly looking around at her surroundings and taking everything in, it's like you can see the wheels in her head turning
On a good day she takes 3 naps a day, but with preschool drop-off and pick-up it often messes with them but what can you do
She discovered Lexi this past month and every time she gets close to her she tries to talk to her and then bite/kiss her
She adores her daddy and already has him wrapped around her little finger
Sleep isn't one of her strengths she is usually up every 2 hours from the time she goes to bed (usually around 7) and is up for the day between 5:30 and 6
She still enjoys to play with her toys laying on her back and kicking her feet. She will usually rotate herself around in a circle while reaching for toys and immediately putting them in her mouth. She still enjoys her play mat, bouncer chair, she likes the excersaucer but still not a fan of the baby Einstein jumper
Happy Six Months Baby Girl!
