All Aboard!

On Sunday, Grammie and Papa planned a special day for Owen and we all took a trip down to Essex, CT to ride on Thomas the Train! With a 2 year old you are never sure exactly how they will react to anything even things they love so it was such a relief to see the excitement in Owen's eyes when he saw Thomas. He loves to watch Thomas shows and movies and seeing him in person blew him away. He immediately wanted to ride on him and asked where Thomas's best friend Percy was.

Our first stop was to take a picture of the little engine #1 also known as Thomas

 So excited to be with Thomas!

 Our next stop was some fun little areas they had set-up inside. He got to pretend he was Sir Topham Hatt: 

 He played in a train car:

 Watched the a model train go around a massive train village with Papa:

 And of course didn't understand why he couldn't play with them

 Then it was time to ride on Thomas!! 

 So cool we got to be the first car, right behind blue engine #1 :)

After we road on Thomas, one of the local fire stations brought over one of their trucks and were letting the kids check it out, try on little firefighter jackets and hats and they even got to sit in the truck. Owen loved it!

 The engine was huge! It was pretty cool to see it up close 

 Toot toot! Go Thomas Go! 

 And before we headed out, we stopped at the little carnival rides they had set-up for all of the kids
