Owen LOVES Boston. He is so observant, loves to site see, has so many questions and loves to go on adventures. He is always asking if we can go into Boston so when a Sunday in July popped up and we had no plans I decided to take Owen on a little Mommy and me Boston Adventure. I had to make a return at a store on Newbury street so we started there. It was very impromptu and I am not really that good at navigating through Boston so my only thought was being able to get back to the car once we were done exploring. So we started on Newbury street and walked over to a huge musical festival happening right in Boston Common. Owen loved it. From there Owen saw signs for the subway and asked if we could ride it -- so of course I said yes and underground we went. We took the train to Park station which dropped us off right in front of the famous Frog Pond -- talk about rocking his world. We walked around the Frog Pond, which unlike its name is a shallow little pool about 2 feet deep where kids are allowed to play freely in and in the winter it is turned into an ice skating rink. At the end of the pond is a carousel which we took a ride on. At the other end of the pond was a cool playground so we stopped there too. After that it was time to head back. The whole time Owen kept saying how cool everything was and you could just see how much he was loving his city adventure but the little glow on his face. He was a trooper and walked the whole way during our adventure which was about 3 hours long. It was such a fun day with my little city boy at heart.
