7 Months Old

Addie has been very busy this month learning to eat solid foods, mastering sitting and putting her mommy and daddy through the ringer with sleep training. I know she will sleep though the night someday, but man she is one stubborn little lady who has a very vocal voice during the nighttime hours, especially when she thinks she is starving! Oh and she had a little cold on her 7th month birthday so not super smily, but we had to document it anyway.

Stats:

Weight: 18 pounds 12 ounces
Height: we will find out at her 9 month appointment
Diapers: Size 3
Cloths: 6-12 months or 12 month cloths
Eyes: Blue

Milestones:

Mastered sitting. If she gets intrigued to move she often dives head first into the ground from sitting because she hasn't figured out to put out her hands first. Once on her tummy she buries her head in the ground lifts her little tush in the air and basically makes herself roll where she needs to go using her hips

Loves to empty containers or buckets of toys

Plays peek-a-boo with her blanket

Who needs toys when you can find paper, plastic bottles, straws, Lexi's bones, and Owen's markers within reach and chew on

Learned celery sticks are a great, safe, entertaining teething toy to chew on at restaurants
Addie has finally found the joy of bouncing in the excersaucer and Einstein bouncer

She has come around to tolerating solid foods. She will eat oatmeal mixed with an ounce of fruit in the morning (has tried apples, pears, peaches (not a huge fan), bananas, bananas mixed with pineapple and orange, kiwi strawberry and apple) sometimes an ounce of food at lunch and more oatmeal mixed with an ounce of veggie at night (sweet potatoes (her favorite food!), squash, carrots, a mix of zucchini, green beans and pees, pees (HATED them), a mix of apple and pumpkin, and a mix of pumpkin, corn and carrots)

She drinks water from a sippy cup during breakfast, lunch and dinner and really enjoys it

LOVES the outside and being carried in the baby bjorn

Just like Owen did, she finds Lexi hilarious and loves to pet her or be near her. Which often means she is showered with Lexi kisses
Sleep has been rough but we hope that it will be better going forward. We are in the middle of sleep training and hopefully will have better news about sleeping next month!

She usually takes 2 naps, although with preschool drop-offs and pick-ups sometimes she needs 3 to get her through the day

I swear she can wave to people. When she sees someone for the first time she always takes her left hand and shakes it up and down. It may just be a reaction but I like to call it waving

She is a very curious little girl
