Free Farm Visit

The first weekend in May brought an opportunity to visit one of the more pricer local farms for free. Since it was a semi warm spring day, and we didn't have any plans, we thought it would be a great family activity and it didn't disappoint!

When we arrived at Lookout farm in South Natick, we were greeted with a 5 car train ready to take us to the festivities. Once we boarded the train, we decided it would be a good time for a family selfie.

The train drove us through the massive orchards of apples, peach and pear trees and dropped us off at the children's play area. Owen was thrilled to see a playground, animals, bounce house and didn't know where to start.

We thought that saying high to the spitting lammas might be fun, but by the look on Owen's face he clearly was not that impressed.

After the lammas we marched over to the bounce house which Owen LOVED. I think if we would have let him, he would have bounced all day.

We moved on to the hay pyramid after all of the bouncing where Owen proclaimed he was the king of the world.

Next stop was a little house that had duplos for the kids to play with -- which if anyone knows our Owen, you would know that one of his favorite toys to play with are his duplos so he had to build a tower before we moved onto the animals.

We trotted over to the goats and were met with both big and baby goats and they were so cute! Owen even got one of the goats to take some grass from him.

Owen's attention span didn't last too long with the goats, so we moved on and he waited for his turn on the cute caterpillar kid train, that I kid you not probably goes 5 mph, but the kids love it. When Owen loaded himself into his car, he turned to me and said "bye mom, see you later." Oh, such a big boy this one and he didn't even look back.

Before we left we decided to grab a quick lunch and enjoy the music man they had as entertainment for the kids and Owen of course thought he was great.

Overall it was a fun little afternoon and we had a great time, I'm not sure its worth the $8 person entrance fee that it normally costs which doesn't include the cost of any fruit you would like to pick, but for free it was a great little event!
