Carving Pumpkins

The night before Halloween we finally got around to carving our pumpkins. Owen has been ready to cut these pumpkins since we brought them home. Now, Owen really had no idea what to expect, since this is the first time that he has ever cut pumpkins, but he was excited!

So we got out the supplies. I helped Owen cut off the top of his pumpkin and he did a great job getting all of the guts out. Once he got all of the stringy gooeyness out of his pumpkin, it was time to draw on the face that we would be cutting. I gave him a marker and away he went. From there I turned his drawing into a face, cut out the pieces with my little helper, put a light in it and ta-da! We had our very first pumpkin created by Owen!

Mom, lets go! Stop with the pictures
 So heavy
 Scooping out the guts
 Concentrating
 Working hard
 Having fun
Daddy getting started on his pumpkin
Wait until you see what he turned his into. He knows how to make little boys dreams come true
 Smile
 Loving it
 Time for the face
 Getting it just right
 His finished face
 Time to cut it out
 We are done!
 Admiring his hard work
 Cheeesssseeee
 My boys awesome work!
And I even got ambitious and made some pumpkin seeds
