To say Owen was excited for Halloween would be an understatement. It is actually pretty cool how he remembered going out last year and was ready to hit the streets again in his costume to collect candy. This year he told me he wanted to be "Super Owie." So we played off of the superman theme and I bought him a specialized cape online just for him with an "O" on the back and then I made him a complementing shirt to go with it. Put them together with his mask and ta-da you have "Super Owie."

The look of trouble
We kicked off our tricker treating up at the center of town where a group of the local businesses were handing out candy to any child dressed up. It is a short little loop but just enough to warm up Owen to say Trick-or-Treat and Thank You and of course learn to only take one piece of candy. As an added bonus we met up with Ashton the lion and together they did so well collecting all of their "treats" as Owen likes to call them.

Friends
After a quick stop home to have some dinner and collect Daddy we were off to the neighborhood. I swear Owen could have gone all night long if you let him. He kept telling us "this is so much fun" and then running like a crazy boy to the next house with lights on. He was always little gentleman and said thank you to everyone he got a treat from and even approached each door by himself. He would knock on the doors until the person would come, take one candy, say thank you and was on his way. I'm telling you, he brought an instant smile to our faces and it reminded us how independent and sweet he is. He didn't agree to stop until his pumpkin was full and too heavy for his little arms to carry. He was a real trooper though and I would say that I am sure this will be one of his favorite holidays.
