Keeping it Classy

In the middle of June, I went down to Newport for a very classy bachelorette party for my best friend Kara. I had never been to Newport, but wow it is such a cute little town, I just loved it! We started off the day at the Newport Winery surrounded by some of Kara's closest friends to celebrate one of the very few nights that she has left as a single lady. We giggled, made our wine guide a little uncomfortable and of course indulged in some delicious wine.

After getting a little tipsy it was time to change into our nautical theme attire (a captains hat with a vail attached for Kara and sailors hats for all of her best mates) and get ready for dinner and dancing. When we traveled to downtown Newport and walked the cobblestone roadways which were surronded by the cutests little stores we learned that it was also the first weekend that the rookie sailors were allowed off the base. So at every bar we went to, our cheeks flushed a little pink as we were face to face with real sailors in training ready to fight for our country. Got to love a man in uniform, but man were they sooo young which made us feel slightly old and embarrassed, but it was still fun to thrust Kara at each of their little groups and I think the sailors really enjoyed it too. Hehe, I will keep the rest of our night to myself, but lets just say we all had a wonderful night, surrounded by a great group of girls and celebrated a beautiful bride to be.

The next morning we had brunch right on the beach. The weather was beautiful and as we sipped our mimosa's I couldn't help but think of how lucky I am to be apart of Kara's special day and I can't wait until August when she gets to marry her best friend Luke :).
