New England Heat Wave

This weekend we were reminded of the joys of living in New England and the crazy weather that comes with it. Last week it was raining and the daytime highs were in the 50s and then came Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 80s - low 90s!! We were walking around in shorts and sweating, it was such a tease that summer was on its way. I don't think I have ever worn shorts in April, but let me tell you, I am not complaining!

So in this little heat wave we ended up having a great weekend, besides getting a little sunburned! We spent Saturday at the Wrenthum Outlets and found some great deals, hit the dog park a couple of times and celebrated the warm weather with dinner at Not Your Average Joes, compliments of Paula, my fantastic co-worker at Century! Sunday we had a very relaxing day with most of our time spent at the dog parks in Belmont. At one of the parks, there is a little brook that Lexi loves to go in and out of. It is just perfect for her because it is not that deep and she gets to cool off. It is really funny to see her in the brook because she dunks her whole head into the water to get rocks, sicks, leaves or anything else that she might like to keep ... we can't wait to see her at the beach!

We will cross our fingers that the weather stays nice, although we know we live in New England so at this point we will just pray that the snow stays away!

  1. I think this is the year we finally buy an air conditioner. Kenzie hates the heat (and the sun) she is definitely a winter doggie!

That brook looks very inviting (93 degrees on April 27th is ridiculous) Keep cool :)

    XOXO Mom
