Easter Weekend

Last weekend, Eric, Lexi and I traveled to Westfield for a action packed weekend with friends and family. We kicked off the weekend trying samples of wedding cake! Can I just tell you this may have been my favorite part of the wedding planning process so far? Not only did we get to try 7 different kinds of cake, but these sample sizes were literally large slices of cake -- it was like heaven in a box! On top of that, both Eric and I agreed on a flavor that we both liked and just like that we had our wedding cake --- it was great!

Saturday night we traveled over to our friends Lianne and Mike's to see their new house! It is truly adorable and it is really coming together. We can't wait to see it once they move everything in. And after a little convincing from Kara, we traveled over to Westwoods for some drinks and we all had a wonderful time!

On Sunday, we went to my Auntie Jeanie's to see all of the Hartman's in the morning and then we went to my Grammie's to spend time with my mom's side of the family. It was so nice to be able to see everyone and to catch-up a little bit. We really do enjoy getting to spend time with our family and Easter was the perfect reason to all get together! The only downfall was the ride home. In case you haven't heard, apparently the a majority of the toll workers on the Masspike called out sick on Easter because they were no longer getting overtime (hey, I don't blame them). This caused a 10 to 15 mile back-up and added an extra hour to our trip home. So a ride that should take us an hour and a half ended up taking us three hours! It was worth it in the end, but boy did that part put a wrench in our weekend...

We missed the Hunter's this weekend but we are gearing up for Mrs. Hunter's visit with her girlfriends this weekend :)!
