Feeding the Christmas Tree

Our tree has been up for a couple of weeks now and we just love it. It is shorter then I am used to and certainly is no comparison to the trees that Eric grew up with, but considering that we do live in a little apartment, it fits just perfectly in our living room! At first we had our reservations on whether or not to get a tree because Lexi LOVES to attack all trees and chew on their branches and we were worried that she would take the tree down and prance around the house so proud of herself with her tail curled up and the tree in her mouth, but to our surprise she has left the tree alone for the most part. So now every morning Lexi and I "feed" the tree. I fill up a bowl of water and walk over to the tree. Lexi then "checks" the water to make sure it is safe by drinking out of the bowl, then we feed the tree and she gets any remaining water left in the bowl. She is thrilled and is such a good girl with this little task -- it really is very cute!
