T-Ball

My little 4 year old buddy got to try out T-Ball for the very first time last year (May 2015). We signed him up for our local town's t-ball and overall it was great. The season started about a month late because of the massive amount of snow that just didn't want to leave the fields, but it might have been better that way because it also brought warmer weather to the games :).

The season started with an informational pizza meeting with all of the teams to meet the coach and get their uniform and hat. Owen's team was the Clippers and his sponsor was Rancatori's Ice Cream (which was just a cool team sponsor to have for your first year of t-ball). He had a black jersey and as luck would have it he was randomly assigned #8 as his number (Eric's college volleyball #8 and our wedding day 8/8). He was also on the same team as his best buddy from school Josephine.

The season lasted about 6 weeks and he had games twice a week. The games lasted about an hour each time and were pretty entertaining to watch. Each game consisted of 2 innings - each team took the field twice and batted twice. Everyone scored and runs didn't matter.

What you don't watch baseball games with gloves on your head?

 Good game!

The first game was hilarious watching the kids try to field the ball. They looked like a pack of puppies chasing a brand new tennis ball. Meanwhile the kids batting didn't know where to run -- some just stood at home base, some kids hit the ball and chased after their own ball, other kids ran to third base instead of first - seriously it was so awesome to watch.
