At the end of April, Owen's preschool celebrated their 69th year as a school - which is crazy to think about and such an accomplishment. Since they are a semi-cooperative school, one way they bring in new toys for the kids is through a "wish list" that is sent out to the parents and on the schools birthday each child brings in a small gift and unwraps during their meeting time. Owen picked out a few new balls for the playground as well as some new train tracks and trains for his classroom. After their meeting time, we were all invited to attend a little party for the school with cake and balloons and free play on the playground. It is low-key but the kids got a kick out of it. Last year we all went, sang happy birthday and played on the playground. It's always so fun to get a peek at why Owen loves school so much and to see him so happy to share his school with us.
Owen's special homemade birthday card (the balloons are his finger prints)
My handsome little man - I love how he drew his whole family in the card
Daddy came to the party too! Such a treat for Owen
Owen was so excited to show Addie his schools playground
And she liked it too

Happy Addie
