4th of July

Talk about way overdue for this post! I have so many pictures (150 from the 4th of July weekend) I didn't know how I was going to go through and post my favorites, but at this point if I don't get it on the blog soon, its going to be snowing out ;).

This past 4th of July, the kids and I got a little ambitious and decided to make the long road trip down to VA to visit Grams, Pops, Auntie Molly, Auntie Giselle, Geoff, Noah and Grayson. To help break up the trip a little bit, we stayed at my parents house for a couple of days before we went south (also leaving Lexi behind) as well as stopping on our way back before heading back to Boston. On top of that, Sabina was gracious enough to fly into Hartford to drive my car down to VA since this baby exhaustion is no joke and a long trip like this probably wouldn't have been very safe for me to drive. Eric had to work and flew down on the 4th of July so luckily he drove the return trip. The trip was full of unexpected road blocks with delayed flights, hurricanes, longggggg car rides -- we are talking 10 plus hours but after all of that, it was still worth it because Owen and Noah had a blast together! They love each other so much and play so well together. Owen refers to Noah as one of his best friends and I'm sure once the littles -- Gray and Addie get bigger they too will have a blast playing with each other.

All the kids ready to start our adventure
Playing in the backyard with Grammie
Owen having fun with the hose
 Addie blowing bubbles
 Helping Grammie water her flowers
Time to swim in the pool!
Later that afternoon, we packed up the car and headed south. It took us a little over 10 hours to get into VA (It should take a little over 6 without stops) so we didn't get in until around midnight. That didn't stop us to get ourselves going the next morning to meet Giselle and the boys at the pool at their country club they belong to.

Owen and Noah
 My smiley Addie baby
Don't worry, Auntie Giselle can handle all the boys
She got Owen to jump in the pool -- big step for cautious O
After the pool we headed back to Giselle's house for nap time. Addie fell asleep in her seat so I let her snooze and Lossy didn't leave her side
 Auntie Giselle and Addie
After nap time it, the boys got some scootering in
Then moved onto taking a ride in the jeep
 Beep beep
 Serious Hunter boys
 Uncle Geoff with Gray
On July 3rd, we started off the day at the pool again -- it really is a cool pool.

Noah
 Grayson
 One of my favorite pictures
Owen in the zero entry pool
 So serious about swimming
Giselle and her boys -- trying to get everyone to look at the camera was difficult, but I think its still a cute picture
Pops took Owen in the big pool
Noah and Grayson's cousin Isabella also came to swim
 Grayson loves the water
 High five
 Grayson and Owen
 Grams and Adelyn
Later that afternoon hurricane Aurthur decided to show-up and tried to ruin the fireworks scheduled for that night. Luckily by some miracle, the fireworks still happened but the humidity in the air was unreal

We let the boys play in the rain because why not? This was their attempt at showing me their muscles
 Sprinkler time in the rain
 Grayson loves to eat
At the country club before the fireworks
They had two bounce houses and one had a slide. They were both a little gross because of the on and off rain, but the boys still had fun in them
 Little sweat balls
This is the hurricane which delayed Eric's flight until 2am ... he didn't get into VA until around 4, but at least he made it and didn't get stuck in Boston
 Tickles from Uncle Geoff
 Waiting for the fireworks
Best buds, watching the fireworks together
 They loved them
 So happy
The next day it was the actual 4th of July and Geoff and Giselle threw a fun low key party at their house. Naturally Addie had to dress in her red, white and blue for the occasion
 Eric and Addie
 Now with his godson too
 The little Hunter boys
Posing for a picture with Pops
We went on a little adventure together, the boys had fun walking in the woods
 Searching for rocks
I had a minute and got to grab some super cute pictures of Grayson
 Big boy
 Those eyes
 Love this picture
 Noah
Owen and Eric
Owen wanted to take a picture with my camera and this is what came out, not bad O
 Sweet baby Elizabeth
 And her twin brother Nathan
Addie baby --- I was talking to her and clearly not paying attention to the camera
 Sweet little girl
This picture captures Owen and Grayson's relationship perfectly
Noah got to celebrate his birthday a little late -- the cake was so yummy
And we capped off the night with sparklers -- Owen loved them
On our final morning, we hung out at Grams and Pops house and Giselle was sweet enough to drive the boys over to squeeze in a little playtime before we had to get on the road

Playing with Pops
Owen and Noah found a cool playground
And had a blast playing with each other
We had so much fun during our visit!! To see Owen and Noah together, it is awesome. They both had  so much fun together and I had fun getting to spend an extended time with Giselle -- now if only I could get them to move to Boston ;) Eric's parents were also so accommodating and we wouldn't have been able to make the trip without them. Owen loves all of the time he gets to play at their house and Addie loved all of her extra snuggles.

Cool kid ready to hit the road
Little miss did great in the car
The next morning before we headed back to Boston, we hung out and played a little at Grammie and Papa's house.

Owen picking out carrots he and Grammie planted
 Swimming with Daddy
 Addie with Uncle Ricky
 Kingston came to play

We always have fun at Grammie and Papa's house!
