Addie's Four Months Old

It is becoming harder and harder to juggle two and actually get anything done, so I apologize for the lack of posts. I have so much to write I just need more time and energy and an extra arm or two to post them!

Addie is 4 months old! Time is flying and our baby girl is doing great. Her biggest challenge has to be sleep but at her doctors visit her pediatrician said that she wouldn't sleep train until closer to 6 months, and you know what that's what I am going to do. I was so wound up about getting her on a schedule and to get to the goal of sleeping through the night (because that's usually the first question anyone asks) that it was becoming frustrating it wasn't happening. So you know what, I'm not going to worry about it for right now. I'm going to try to stretch her at night and get her until at least 6 am (with wake ups of course) before she decides to start her day (yes on occasion she has started her day before 6 and its just not pretty). So that's the goal right now and we will see how it goes...

Stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 3 oz (85th percentile)
Height: 25 inches (72nd percentile)
Head Circumference: 41 cm (61st percentile)
Eyes: Still blue
Diapers: Size 3
Cloths: 6 months or 3-6 months

Milestones:

She loves her toes. She loves grabbing them, tries to put them in her mouth, rolls to her side while holding onto them... who needs toys when you have toes!

Along with toes, her hands are ALWAYS in her mouth. She chews on them for what seems like hours and if yours become within reach, watch out she will try to naw on them too

She frequently does baby crunches trying to sit up while laying down. She will be laying down and lift up her head trying to be like a big kid... slow down baby girl

Laughing, giggling, and baby shrieking are becoming more and more frequent

Loves to grab onto toys and put them in her mouth -- no surprise there. And her grip is super strong. It's hard to pry things out of her tiny hands once she gets her little paws on them especially because they are often sweaty so they are extra sticky

She loves attention and loves to be held. She still hates to be alone and prefers to be where all of her people are which is probably why she is not a fan of sleeping, she doesn't want to miss anything

We are starting to have her nap in her crib. It's a process but she is finally getting the hang of it for at least 2 of her naps during the day

Her general wake-up time for the day is 6 am and generally always wakes up smiley and so happy to see you. She really is our little ray of sunshine and generally goes down for her first nap before her big brother is awake -- how crazy is that?

She is a kicker, anytime she has the opportunity to unleash her little kicks she will, especially when she is mad or upset

She has become attached to a purple blankie that her Grammie (my mom) made for her. Anytime she sees it she always lights up and flashes her wide gummy smiles. She also has to sleep with it and I usually find it across her despite the fact that I lie it next to her when I put her in her crib. It is the sweetest thing
