Time to go Home

You know something funny, the first time you have a baby you take all the time the hospital will give you to stay in the safety bubble created by nurses and doctors. But the second time around, yes the nursery at night is a great perk to get some much needed sleep but besides that, you want to leave and go home as soon as you can. On Friday morning I asked if we could leave the hospital. The nurse said, oh this must not be your first, and I responded with nope, this is baby number two. She laughed a little said Adelyn needed a blood test done when she was 36 hours old but as long as that came back ok she and I would be free to go! That started a whirlwind of doctor visits and paperwork but that was ok because we were going to be heading home. Owen came to get me and around 4 pm on Friday we were free!

Did I mention we had a sweet hospital room complete with a fireplace? There are only three of these rooms on the floor and by the luck of the draw, we got one. Baby Addie was born to be a princess right from the start
