Owen and Addie Meet for the First Time

Owen got to meet his baby sister for the very first time on Thursday morning, April 10th. My parents brought him over and as soon as he arrived he asked "is my baby here?" He climbed up onto my bed peeked at his little sister and said "hi baby." That's when we gave him a present from his little sister - a new train set that kept him busy for a while.

After he played with his new trains he climbed onto my bed and held baby Addie for the first time. His first response "mom she's so heavy." He was so good about taking a few pictures.

Now as you may or may not remember, Owen named his baby sister Sunshine months before she arrived. When people asked what her name was going to be he always responded with Sunshine. Well, things have not changed. He insists that his sisters name is Sunshine tells everyone who asks him that that is her name and corrects us if we call her Addie or Adelyn. Some of the looks we get when people hear that's her name is pretty priceless but since he is already having a little bit of a tough time with her arrival we just go with it. Maybe she will always be sunshine to Owen and you know what, that's ok with us just the first little special thing they will share as siblings.
