Santa Success

It only took 3 tries, but this year we finally got Owen to sit on Santa's lap without tears, or fears, or a meltdown of the jolly old man in a red suit. Granted, this Santa did give Owen a gift for seeing him, but still our Owen did it!

A tradition started back when I was a baby, we brought Owen to my Grammie's Irish Club Christmas Party. They did it a little different then I remember, but it didn't matter because Owen had a wonderful time. He got to check out the presents before Santa came, have some breakfast, sing Christmas carols with all of the kids and watch Santa arrive on a fire engine -- I mean does it get much better then that?

He was a little hesitant to sit on Santa's lap but patiently posed for pictures while I clicked away hopping for one good one. No tears!!! It was a success. Now when we go to the mall Owen asks me if he is in his nice cloths so he can go sit on santas lap. We haven't tried this yet, but we just might have to before the season comes and goes.
