Letter to Owen - 3rd birthday

Dear Owen,

Today is your 3rd birthday and I can't believe how big, smart and sweet you are. Every year you becomes more and more fun. You are a very determined little boy that always knows what you want. You are very sweet though and play well with your friends. Although sharing can be tough, you do a good job with sharing and encouraging others to share with you to make a fun playing experience. You like to be in charge and lead the way in whatever activity you are involved with. You also love to help mommy and daddy anyway you can. You are very independent, are great at playing independently and have a fantastic imagination that you use when you play with your toys.

You still sleep with your Mickey and you carry around your dog Spot everywhere and he has become your partner in crime. You still have a love for books and have just recently started "reading" books by yourself. You also still sleep with binkies but mommy and daddy are going to work on phasing those out since you are a big three year old now.

You also love to talk and are very curious. You often ask many questions but if you don't like the answer you will continue to ask the same question until you are satisfied. One of my favorite things that you do is sing and dance. You love music and love to sing. You are usually humming some kind of song in your head and bouncing to the beat of your own drum.

You and Lexi are the best of friends and she follows you wherever you go. You both have so much fun outside and one of your favorite places to go is the park. You have gotten really good at throwing the ball to Lexi and she has gotten pretty good at giving it back to you. You also like all of  our walks and you are an expert shopper when we go out on all of our adventures!

Your best friends right now are Gisella, Ellias, Ashton and Noah and you love to play with all of them and often talk about them when you are not with them. You have a very loving and caring heart and like most toddlers you have your meltdowns but you are good about taking a little break and bouncing right back to a happy little boy.

We are so lucky to have you and hope you have a great 3rd birthday.
