Fireworks

Owen did not disappoint this year when we went to see the fireworks on the 4th of July. Last year he was into them, so we were not worried that he would be scared, but the enthusiasm and love that he had while watching them was something truly spectacular. He was so awed by the magical lights erupting in the sky telling us what colors they were, how big they were and always asking for more. He would say "Wow" and "Look Mommy/Daddy" always followed by a high pitch squeal. I wish I had gotten a video of just how much he loved them because it was truly one of those precious unforgettable moments. It looks like 4th of July is quickly becoming this little boys favorite holiday -- which is great because some of my favorite moments growing up was going to the fireworks with my parents and brothers, packing snacks, sitting on the blanket and enjoying the bright lights way up in the sky.

Of course he fought taking a nap, so he fell asleep on our way...
Woke up happy though so we hit the playground behind the field where the fireworks were going to be
 Always on the move
Being the only child has its perks -- he got to ride on the amusement rides
 Which he takes very seriously
