21 & 22 Months

Our little man has gotten so big over the past few months. He is officially not a little baby anymore but a little boy. It's crazy that he will be 2 in just two short months.

Milestones

His new obsession is anything related to trucks

We walk to the fire station about a block away from our house everyday. He loves to stop in front of it and sit on the curb and look at the trucks. Sometimes we are lucky enough to see them get called out on an emergency. It always makes for an exciting adventure

He has also really started to fall in love with trains. He loves watching Thomas the Train on the TV and will ask me to put it on by handing me the remote and saying "Choo-Choos?" It is adorable and hard to say no

When ever he is ready to play outside he yells "shoes," runs to find them, gives them to Eric and I and sits down to have them put on. He then proceeds to go and find his jacket and Lexi's leash. He is a little boy that knows what he wants

He has gotten really good with animal sounds. He can now tell us what a duck, cow, dog, kitten, horse, sheep, pig, monkey and my new favorite turkey says.

He can also identify pretty much all of his body parts

He understands EVERYTHING we say

Loves to play with his pretend kitchen. He cooks us up some very yummy meals and also pretends to eat them himself by gobbling the pretend food up and saying yum. It is very cute

He loves to say "bye-bye"

He points at everything which helps us so much to know what he wants which makes him less frustrated

Going for short rides in the car can stop any major meltdown

Some of the words he says regularly and clearly are: close, shoes, bye-bye, cookie, cracker, car, truck, cup, choo-choo, what is it, I am sure there are more, I just can't think of them at the moment

Gives high fives and can "pound-it"

Only uses binkies in his crib for naps and bedtime. They don't leave his room and he willingly gives them to us when he wakes up

Has been able to blow bubbles a couple of times all by himself

Loves to dance and anything related to music

His favorite books are Go Tractor, Roadwork and Moo Baa La La La

Naps maybe 3 or 4 times a week ... he is trying to give them up

He is a funny little guy who would much rather play the night away then sleep!
