Road Trip

Back at the end of August, Owen and I hit the road and went west to visit Grams and Pops in Rochester for a couple of days between weddings and work! Luckily on the way out, we were coming from my parents house so it only took us 6 hours to get there ... but on the way back to Boston it took us a longgggg 9 hours to get back. We spent the whole day in the car with many meltdowns and stops to keep Owen as calm as possible. It made me question whether or not I was sane when I decided to make the trip with Owen alone. But it was worth it because not only did we get to spend lots of time with Grams and Pops, but Auntie Lizzie also made the trip to visit us and Auntie Giselle, Uncle Geoff and Noah came to play too!

When we first got to Rochester, Owen walked into a little boys heaven. There was a train table all ready to play with, a play kitchen with all of the fixings and lots of trucks and cars to play with!

He loved playing with the train set
It was even more fun playing with a buddy :)
 Choo-choo
Taking a break from the trains to play outside and get ready to go in the pool
Auntie Lizzie is lots of fun!!!!

 Loves to play with trucks!
Noah is riding in style :)
Right across the street from Eric's parents house is a little brook that houses a family of ducks which the boys had lots of fun feeding!

Is it time to feed the ducks yet?
The ducks are ready and waiting for some yummy bread

The next day Grams planned a special day for the boys and we all headed over to a local amusement park called Seabreeze. This was the first time Owen had ever visited an amusement park so I was curious to see how he would do. He did just ok with the rides and only let me put him on one, but lucky for us there was also a water park area with a wave pool that he absolutely LOVED! He could have stayed there all day if we let him. Plus, it was really fun to watch Noah have a blast on all of the rides. He has such a fun loving and outgoing personality you can't help but smile when you get to do anything with him. We really need to hang out with them more so Noah can rub off on Owen a little bit ;).
 Hi mom
 What's up there?

This was the only ride Owen would go on. And although he wasn't smiling in any of these pictures, both he and Noah loved going on it

Although it wasn't a long visit, both Owen and I had so much fun in Rochester! It was awesome to see the boys together and I can tell they will be friends for life. I will leave you with a couple bath time pictures of the boys just for fun.
Noah is always ready to smile :)
Owen's look is priceless in this picture. I love these two so much!
