This past Sunday we took a family trip to a local zoo in Boston. Surprisingly enough it was actually a pretty nice zoo considering it is located right in the middle of a city with a great selection of animals. It wasn't too big either so we were able to walk around to see all of the animals before Owen got to tired. Although the animals didn't really grab Owen's attention, he was much more interested in the rope fences marking off the animal exhibits, and the rocks covering the ground, the puddles of water left over from the overnight rain, the benches he could bang his hands on, and the random sticks covering the walking paths... oh the life of a toddler. Eric and I had a great time seeing the assortment of animals and it is definitely a place we will be visiting again. Overall, it was a fun family outing!
First stop: Zebra's
hehe our little goat
Sitting on the horse while getting tickled
They let this turtle out for a couple of minutes ... he was HUGE and weighs in at 150 lbs
Come and play bunnies
Loving the tractor!
Ready to hit the farm
Not impressed to stop for a picture
You should have heard this lion ... it made me shutter a little inside and made me thankful he couldn't escape
All that roaring wore him out ... Owen wanted to say hi
So happy
Time to take a break
What's over there?
Baby hippo
Taking it all in
Having fun at the little playground
Time to say bye-bye
