What Owen has been up to during the past month:
He can now roll over from back to belly! He was so angry about being put in his crib awake one night that he flipped himself over and fell fast asleep.
He likes to shake his head no ... it really comes out in full force when he is tired
He is a belly sleeper! I always put him down in his crib on his back but before he falls asleep he is on his belly. We should have known he was going to be a belly sleeper because during his first week home the only way he would sleep at night was if he was sleeping on his belly on Eric's chest.
Speaking of being in his crib ... he has finally learned to nap in his crib and it is glorious. It was a long month and a half of sleep training, but he now takes two naps a day ranging from an hour - two and a half hours at a time.
He can sit by himself unassisted. We still place a pillow behind his back in case he flings himself backward but he can sit up like a champ all by himself! I think he likes this new freedom ... he grabs his toys that are around him, chews on them and goes to the next toy.
He is still drooling up a storm but no teeth yet ... it's been a long three months of teething
He loves his walker although right now he can only move backwards and still LOVES his bouncer chair!
His baby babble has turned into baby babble sentences. It is so cute to hear him try to talk.
On top of baby babble he can giggle --- like real belly laugh giggle and it is the cutest sound ever!! As soon as you hear it you just want to giggle right along with him.
His hands have turned into little pincher's and will grab anything within reach and try to put it in his mouth (he especially loves to pull out your hair).
He can pick-up and grab his toys at will, move the toy from hand to hand and throw it when he is done with it.
We are working on clapping, waving and crawling!
Happy 6 months baby boy!
