Since I was little we have had a multitude of Sonic commercials played during network t.v. You might think that this would be no big deal since there are McDonald, Burger King and Wendy's commercials played regularly, but the thing is there was no SONIC's within a reasonable driving distance. In fact, I think the closest Sonic was in NC which is not really a road trip I was willing to take to experience the drive-in burger and slushy place, however the commercials made it awfully tempting! So you don't know how excited I was when I found out that a SONIC had finally reached MA and opened up a restaurant in Peabody right off of rt 1. It has become such a momentous occasion that it has been jammed packed with the locals from MA that have been teased with commercials their whole life. People have waited up to 2 hours just to pull into one of the drive-in spots to take in the whole experience and to be honest, I was just not willing to sacrifice that much of my time for a cheeseburger, but I knew my day would come.
Much to my surprise while doing some errands on the north shore on this very rainy day I drove by the famous SONIC, saw that the line wasn't too bad and decided to pull in! It was so neat to see a drive in restaurant and finally taste this food that I have been tempted with my whole life... and to tell you the truth, it was AWESOME! It was really the highlight of my day and I am so excited that I was able to try it out! :)

Remember yelling at the TV cause we couldn't go there!!! Fun times...Dad and I WALKED through a Sonic when we were in Houston. We didn't have a car, so we couldn't drive up, but we checked it out on foot. SO GLAD to here it is tasty xoxo
