Princess for the Day!

It finally happened, my lifelong dream came true -- I got to be a princess for a day, complete with a tierra and a princess throne!

This past Saturday, my Grammie Alice threw me a very memorable and sweet Cinderella inspired Bridal Shower at the Southwick Country Club. When I first walked into the room, I was blown away with all of the details that had been put together to make it such a special day and I have to thank my grammie, mom, Jamie and of course my bridesmaids for all of their hard work.

The tables were draped with pink table cloths and had beautiful flower arrangements adorned on each of the tables put together by my bridesmaids. In the background my mom had a Disney princess cd playing all of my favorite princess songs from Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Beauty and the Beast. And in the front of the room, Jamie and her mom Denise created a princess throne just for me --- it was beautiful! And to make the day complete, Grammie (with help from my mom) gave me a tierra! I have wanted my own tierra since I was six, and I finally got one -- it was amazing!

During the shower, we also played two games which were really fun. The first one required all of the guests to break into small groups and pick a bridesmaid to create a bridal gown out of toilet paper! The groups only had 2 minutes to put something together and Eric and I had to judge who created the best dress. It was a lot of fun to watch and everyone did such a great job -- it was really hard to choose the winner. The second game was bridal bingo, where all of the guests were given a bingo card and were told to fill in the blanks with the presents they thought I would get. The first three people that got bingo received a prize. There were some tough competitors out there, but overall it was a very big success!

Overall, it was truly a perfect day that far exceeded any thoughts that I had about my shower. Thank you Grammie, mom, Jamie and all my bridesmaids for putting together a very memorable day that I will never forget! I would also like to thank my Prince Eric for coming to the shower and sharing this special day with everyone! And a big thank you needs to go out to all of our friends and family that showered us with lots of love and very generous gifts.

  1. You are becoming quite the professional with this blog ~ What an awesome collection of photos! Can you tell me how to print them out?

So glad you had a "magical" day and that Eric came to be a part of it.

    XOXO Mom
