Look whose three months old! Time really does fly the second time around. And with time comes new milestones, struggles, adjustments and discoveries everyday. The biggest change that has come with the 3 month mark has been the dreaded sleep regression and in turn, sleep training. It was like Addie's internal clock switched on as soon as she hit the 3 month mark and was like, "well teach me how to fall asleep and stay asleep because I'm not a newborn anymore" ... sigh, I guess she really is growing everyday. So we've started listening to her little internal clock and with a lot of patients, we are helping her figure out how to take naps and getting her on a schedule that keeps everyone happy.
Addie's Stats:
Weight & Height: no doctor visit this month we will have to wait until next month for those updates
Eyes: Still blue at the moment
Diapers: Size 2 but I just bought the first box of size 3
Cloths: 6 months at Carters, 3-6 months at Gap & Old Navy
Milestones:
Addie has found her toes and loves to play with them
She will grab for toys now and will hold on to them
Her play-mat has quickly become one of her favorite places to hangout. Between watching the lights, batting at the hanging toys, listening to the music, and kicking her legs to her little hearts content she really enjoys it
She LOVES to chew on her hands and pretty much constantly has them stuffed in her mouth
She also loves to hold onto blankets and rub them on her face, this also goes for dresses. If she can grab the fabric, she will lift it up and bring it to her mouth to chew on
Addie gave her first real belly laugh to her daddy and it was adorable. She has only done it the one time, but it sure was cute -- fun fact, Eric also got Owen to giggle for the first time
Not a fan of tummy time, but we have been better at practicing. She still ends up in a full meltdown, but she is getting better at it
The challenge with only having one room for 2 kids is sleeping. Addie is still in our room for the only fact that she will wake up Owen if she is in his room. So for now, she is sleeping in the pack-n-play at night and as mentioned above we are working on naps
A sure fire cure to any meltdown with Miss Addie is a quick trip outside. I don't know what it is but she loves to be outside and has an instant calming effect on her
She absolutely loves Owen. Every time she catches him looking at her she breaks out a huge smile. She adores him already
Fun Owen fact: He loves his sister but god forbid she touch him ... you would think that someone was throwing poison on him -- please look at the next two pictures and his arm placement. Funny boy
And if you ever have the chance, sneak a peek at her eyelashes, they are so long I love them
