Snow!

What a fun surprise to wake up to ... 2 inches of powder snow just calling Owen and Lexi to come and play! Although it wasn't much, it was enough to get Owen all bundled up in his snow pants and boots (which he can't really walk in, but that's a minor detail right?), grab his sled, get Lexi all ready and head off to the park. Now I have not perfected how to get to the park with this snow on the ground so let me try to paint you a little picture of our walk over....

I have Owen all bundled up in his snow gear, he can hardly move, is very unimpressed with his mother and looking pretty pissed as I plop him in his car. Lexi is on her leash so excited to be outside with the snow that instead of walking to the park she is trying her best to rip my arm off and run to the park... which this in turn causes Owen's car which I am now pushing to go in the opposite direction that Lexi is pulling. Now let's add a little more crazy to our walk -- the sled. As I am pushing Owen, trying to control Lexi, I also have Owen's sled strapped to my back/carrying it in my hand. Needless to say we made it to the park ... I am sure fellow spectators enjoyed the show and hopefully next time I will either figure out a better way to get everyone and thing to the park or magically grow so extra arms to help me out.

When we got to the park Owen didn't know what to think. I put him in his sled and he immediately became his happy little self and he loved playing in the snow. I whizzed him around in the sled and he never stopped smiling. When I stopped for a minute, the first thing he did was reach down and put his little mitten in the snow, brought it up to his mouth and made such a discussed look like I had just shoved a spoonful of peas in his mouth, it was pretty hilarious. He also had so much fun watching Lexi go crazy in the snow -- she sure does love the white stuff. He even managed to figure out how to walk in his boots and of course walked right over to the playground which happened to have a tiny little hill to try out his first sledding experience (which I caught on video).

I must say, the snow makes taking Lexi and Owen to the park much more challenging and tiring, but it is so worth it to see them so happy. Happy Winter.
First time in the sled
Having a blast (notice the red car in the background ... yup I had to go back and trek that along with everything else through the park)
First time tasting snow ... watch the next two pictures
 This looks very yummy
OMG Mom how could you let me eat that!
 Time to explore
 See you later
 Baby feet :)
Couldn't leave without going on the swings
Now the video of sledding down a baby hill (which is just a mound of dirt :))
