13 Months Old

We officially have a one year old and it is amazing how much Owen has learned in just a month. He doesn't go to the doctors until he is 15 months old, so I don't have any stats to post and I know this is very late, but I thought I would write about some of his milestones since he sure has been a VERY busy little boy.

Milestones:

His new favorite toy has to be his stacking cups. He loves to unstack them, stack them, put things in the cups, carry them around, ect... they provide hours of entertainment

He can now run and you will see him walking more then he crawls

He can climb the stairs and with some assistance can go down them backwards

He points at everything

Just started to sign "more"

Has graduated to eating bigger bites of food. I no longer give him pea size bites ... more like dime size -- unless of course he grabs a whole cookie and stuffs it in his mouth while I am not looking

He is great at playing independently and will even sit and watch an episode of Mickey on the floor while I pick-up the mess my little hurricane has made

Has started to kick balls

Will bring me books to read to him

One of his favorite things to do is to close doors ... he loves to help close the refrigerator, open and close the cabinet doors and will peek in on you if you forget to close the bathroom door

He knows and understands simple directions ... bring me a ball, throw the ball, time for tubby, get your binki, ect

Can fully operate his ball popper game and can take his favorite toys off the shelf by himself
