Weekend of Special Visitors

Owen's photo contest got me a little side tracked and I haven't had a free moment to blog about last weekend! As a very special treat, Eric's parents came out for a weekend in Boston to spend some time with little Owen and we had such a wonderful time!!! I love watching Owen with his grandparents and really treasure the moments he gets to spend with them, so having Eric's parents make the long trip from Rochester was wonderful. They arrived on Friday night and we ordered dinner in so Owen could get as much cuddle and playtime in before bed.

On Saturday we took a trip down to the outlets where Mimi got Owen some snazzy new spring and summer outfits which he is very excited about. While we were shopping we ran into our good friends Matt and Sarah and their two boys which was such a great surprise. We had actually been trying to get together since before Owen was born but our schedules kept conflicting so to describe how thrilled we were to see them would be an understatement. We ended up walking around with them for a little bit and caught up which was great! On top of that Auntie Molly and Uncle Mike also met up with us at the outlets! It was one of our most successful trips if I do say so myself!

That night we all went out to one of our favorite restaurants Not Your Average Joe's where Owen did surprisingly well. Usually he sleeps when we are out but I think because he knew he doesn't get to see his grandparents or Auntie and Uncle very often and he didn't want to miss a minute with them so he was up the whole time! After a wonderful dinner we went back to our apartment for some more cuddle, snuggle and playtime!

Sunday we made sure to get in a few pictures and then we had to say goodbye :(. It was such a wonderful weekend and we had such a great time. Owen can't wait to see his Mimi and Poppy again!
