Happy 3rd Birthday Lexi!

Happy 3rd Birthday Lexi! We don't know what we would do without you. You always know how to welcome us with a smile. I mean we can't help ourselves and giggle every time you come busting out from behind the door, running at full speed with your butt wiggling and ready to dish out as many kisses as we can take. Although you have had to share your attention with your little brother this year, you have really learned to love him and I can see you being the best of friends once he is a little more mobile and starts eating food. I am sure you will get him to share with you, I mean it is hard to say no to your cute puppy dog eyes. You show us just how much you love him when he starts to get upset and you come over to us with concern in your eyes or one of your favorite toys to try to make him all better. You love to shower him with kisses when we all play on the floor and make sure no strangers get too close to your little brother without your seal of approval. It is very cute!

On top of adjusting to life with a little brother, you also survived a knee surgury which was not an easy task. After 14 very longgggg weeks, you are finally able to play at the park a little bit! The delight in your eyes when we walk over to the park, unhook your leash and pull out your long lost ball would melt anyones heart. You immediatly turn back into a little puppy and get so excited to be able to play again. On top of that, you can finally play with your friends. You can't go all out and your knee still bothers you when we get home after a play session, but you are on your way to being almost back to your little self which makes us all so happy.

We love you little Lexi! You will always be our first born and can't believe you are already 3 years old.
