A "Giant" Kind of Weekend

What a jammed packed weekend! On Saturday, Eric and I drove down to NJ in anticipation for the Giants game on Sunday! When we first got in we decided to try to visit Carlo's Bakery (aka the Cake Boss) again to see if we could get in this time and lucky for us, we actually got in! I think we came at just the right time because the line was pretty short and we only waited about 10 minutes to get in. Once we got in we got a number and tried our best to see all of the yummy goodies that Buddy has been baking up. Unfortunately it was so jammed inside, it was hard to see all of our options so when our number was called we kind of went in panic mode on what to get and ended up with 2 chocolate covered strawberries, a cannoli and a cookie monster cupcake for Eric. I must say they were all delicious!!!

We were determined to get in this time!
 INSIDE!
Yummy looking cakes :)
Our goodies -- cookie monster cupcake, strawberries and a cannoli!

After getting settled in our hotel we decided to take the train into Penn Station and visit Times Square! We walked around and took in all of the craziness that NYC has to offer and decided to grab a bite to eat and play some games at Dave and Busters. It was a very fun date night and tuckered us out!

Eric hit one of the games big at Dave and Busters -- 1,000 tickets :)

Finally Sunday morning came and Eric's dream to visit the new Giant's stadium was finally going to come true! We were able to get the tickets through a presale that they held for all members on their waiting list to become season ticket holders (yes, Eric has been on this list since I think grade school). We couldn't pass up this opportunity to get face value tickets so I bought Eric his ticket for his birthday! We put on our jersey's grabbed some breakfast and we were off to the game! What was really nice was the fact our hotel was less than a quarter of a mile away from the stadium so we could just walk over. Once we entered the stadium I couldn't believe how nice it was. Everything was so clean and spread and the field was beautiful! On top of that, I don't think there is really a bad seat in the house. You get a really great view from all angles within the stadium, it was really pretty cool!

Walking over to the stadium
 What a field!
 Posing in the new stadium
 View from our seats
The G-Men coming out of the tunnel! Game Time Baby!
Ready for the game to start!

Unfortunately, the Giant's had a rough game and should have won but because of too many turnover's they let the win slip through their fingers. We still had a great time at the game and sat in some great seats ... I guess that means we will just have to make the trip again next year!!
