Fall Weekend

What better way to celebrate the cooler weather than to kick-off fall with some apple picking! On Saturday Eric and I traveled to an apple orchard full of ripe apples, cider donuts, caramel apples and of course some hot and cold apple cider! We started off our visit with some homemade, hot cinnamon and sugar cider donuts and to say they were to die for would be an understatement. From there we picked our bag of Macintosh and Cortland apples and then retreated back to the gift store for some more goodies! Overall it was a very successful trip to the farm!

On Saturday night we traveled up to Beverly to go out to dinner with my Auntie Laurie and Uncle Ted and we had a wonderful time! When we first drove up to their house we were greeted by 8 wild turkeys standing close to the front path to their house. I have never seen so many turkeys so close up before, it was pretty cool! After being greeted by the turkeys, we caught up a little bit, were given some extremly cute baby gifts and than we were off to dinner! We had such a wonderful night and can't thank them enough!

Staying true to the fall theme of the weekend, we ended our Sunday indulging in some homemade apple pie that I had made earlier in the day from the apples we picked on Saturday. Overall, I would say we had a very nice weekend!
