It's All About the Little Things

I am SO happy it is Friday! It has been a very long and expensive week with a lot of unexpected bills flowing in, but that's life right? Anyways, as I was driving home from work yesterday I was thinking about how happy I was to finally be able to get my car washed and I kinda giggled a little out load because the more I thought about it, the more ridiculous it sounded to be so excited about something so small that only I truly cared about. But after two and a half weeks of below freezing temps and an assortment of winter weather, my poor little car that was blue was now a muted gray and I cringed every time I looked at it. I desperately wanted to wash it, but couldn't run the risk of getting it washed and having the locks freeze because it was so cold without any sign of the temps breaking 32 degrees. However, yesterday it hit a high of 38 degrees and I couldn't have been happier! I am sure I will be laughing at the thought of jumping for joy for 38 degree wheather, but because of that I was able to wash my car which gave me the chance to get my oil changed today :) WAHOO! See I didn't want to bring my very dirty car to get an oil changed to the repair shop looking like I don't take care of my car, because I do, but the weather was permitting me to do so.

On top of being able to take care of my car, Eric and I also received a free washer from my parents which is just simply fabulous! Although we do not have a dryer, we are on our way to saying goodbye to the laundry mat and that couldn't make me anymore happier!!! It will be simply wonderful be able to just take my laundry down a couple sets of stairs and be able to do other chores around the house as opposed to dragging all of the laundry to my car, unloading it, paying for it, reloading it and folding a MASSIVE amount of cloths all in one sitting. Yay for a used washing machine!

In retrospect, I am really happy about all of the little things that have happened this week and I hope you can find the little joys in your lives too :)
