I am a little behind in posts, but thought it was better late then never to talk about our 4th of July weekend. Over the holiday weekend, Eric and I had the luxury of being able to stay around Belmont for the weekend, and it was simply fabulous. On Saturday we took a trip down to the Wrenthum Outlets in hopes of finding some fun things to wear for the honeymoon, but to much dismay, we didn't have much luck but it was still a great time. When we got home we took Lexi for a long walk to one of her favorite parks with a running brook that she could play in. She had a blast and we were just thrilled that it was sunny for the first time in two months. Then on Saturday night, we were a little spontaneous and went to the Newton Fireworks with Lexi. It was so much fun to see everyone out with their families, enjoying being together and celebrating our nations birthday. We were having a wonderful time until the fireworks started when Lexi got scared out of her mind. She was shaking and trying to burrow herself into my body, but after about 2 minutes she seemed to calm down a bit and actually watch the fireworks. Then the finally started and that's when you can feel the booms in your chest and well Lexi went crazy and we had to bolt out of the park as fast as we could.
For the most part it was really a great night and I don't think we scared Lexi too too much. I guess only time will tell. Here are some pictures from the fireworks:
