Weekend Extravaganza

I think since the beginning of May, Eric, Lexi and I have had something planned for every weekend which has included lots of traveling, seeing friends, family, little rest and a LOT of quality time in the car! We have been very busy getting ready for the wedding (who knew there would be soo many appointments to go to) and the summer parties have really started to get underway and this past weekend was no different and definitely kept us on our toes!

It started on Friday when we traveled to my parents house after work so we could get an early start on Saturday. On Saturday morning I had to go to the hairdressers for my pre-wedding consultation. It was fun when it started, but after 2 hours I realized why they have these appointments and was very glad I went and feel that the little details are really starting to come together. Right from the hairdressers, I rushed home to my parents house to get changed quickly, grab Eric and we were off to Albany for his older sister, Molly's wedding shower. Once in Albany, Eric dropped me off at the shower while he went to hang out with his friends. The shower was so well done and it was so nice to see the Hunters and celebrate this happy time with Molly. We are all very excited for her Vermont wedding in October and we know it is going to be beautiful.

After the shower Eric and I traveled back to Western Mass to try to catch the end of my cousin Alyssa's dance recital. Unfortunately, we just missed it but we were able to go out with my Mom, Grammie, Auntie Cindy, Alyssa and all of her dance friends to celebrate another successful dance year, which was such a nice treat!

We wouldn't have been able to do any of these events if it were not for my parents who watched Lexi for the day/night. My Dad was truly wonderful and even let Lexi cuddle with him and Kenzi (our family dog) on his bed until we got home. Lexi wanted me to send a BIG thank you for taking such good care of her!

On Sunday Eric ended up helping out my dad plant some butterfly bushes that I got him for fathers day and he helped uncover the pool. I am not sure Eric was ready for all of that manual labor, but he did a great job and to celebrate such a wonderful day, we all went out to dinner! It was a great ending to a wonderful weekend.

On that note, we would like to wish my Dad and Mr. Hunter a wonderful fathers day. We are both so lucky to have you and love you both so much!!
