This weekend was the first weekend that both Eric and I were at home with no plans since well before the Holidays. It is amazing how time flies when you have plans and then when you end up with a free weekend we both didn't know what to do with ourselves. We were however pretty lucky to have a nice weekend with warmer weather so we were able to take Lexi to the park twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday. It is really pretty funny to see her outside in the snow --- she really does love it. And with the help of her dad, Lexi has become VERY good with the Frisbee. She can almost catch it in her mouth while running for it and puts up a great fight to grab it in the air -- only with the snow she is slowed down a bit but we have high hopes that she will be an all-star once all of the white stuff goes away for a while! The only thing with fetching is Lexi HATES to give back the Frisbee. She loves the challenge of keeping it away from us or turning it into a hardcore tug-of-war game. Just picture this: Eric has one end of the Frisbee, Lexi has the other ... Eric's arm is fully extended while Lexi is on all fours, digging her paws into the ground, her mouth is clenched on the Frisbee and she is pulling with all of her strength to rip it out of Eric's hand. All of the sudden Eric lifts up his arm and starts to spin in a circle, lifting Lexi up in the air. Lexi is not phased by the fact that she is now airborne, nope, she is still holding onto the Frisbee and spinning her tail like a little helicopter! It was hilarious and at that moment I thought -- why didn't I grab the camera. I will bring it with us next time and hopefully I can post the video of this new "game."
Other then the park and keeping Lexi entertained, Eric and I had a very low-key weekend. Eric worked on finalizing our honeymoon -- which has been very impressive and we are almost ready to book it -- YAY and I did some laundry.
We were able to see my mom, dad and brother Ricky for a little bit on Sunday which was a very nice treat and a nice break from our crazy little puppy who enjoyed a nice nap while we traveled up to Stoneham for a couple of hours.
Helicopter Frisbee sounds like a blast!
