What a Great Day to be an American

Today we made history as we inducted the first African-American President, Barack Obama into office. It is a historic day that I am sure many never thought would happen, but one that needed to to keep America progressing the way we have been for centuries.

I was lucky enough to be able to join our board of directors in our board room to witness the inauguration and as I sat in awe watching the ceremonies unfold I couldn’t help but be thankful for the life that I have and all of the wonderful people that I have to share it with. We are all blessed with the freedom to speak our mind, execute our dreams into reality, live in a world where everyone is treated equal and prosper with the help of strangers. This is America and I am truly blessed to be apart of a nation that is willing to make changes, accept new challenges and reach out to those countries in need.

Shivers flowed through my body as I heard our 44th President give his first speech to his American public. To see the millions of people that filled the mall is truly astonishing and just shows you that America is read to change. From the bow on Aretha Franklin’s hat to Barack having to stand on a step stool to reach the height of his wife, it was and always will be a very memorable day.

God Bless America!
