10 Months and Taking Steps

Three days before Addie turned 10 months old she took her very first steps, unassisted and all by herself. It was early in the morning Owen was running around, she was standing up and just like that took 2 steps, shocked herself a little bit and fell down. Both Eric and I were home to see it which was very exciting. Later that night she again stood up and took 10 steps all by herself! Not even 10 months old and trying to walk -- that's just crazy but she is determined to keep up with her big brother! Her preferred method to get around is still to crawl but she does occasionally just stand up and walk. She isn't much of a fan if you hold her hands to help her, she wants to do it and it has to be when she is in the mood -- stubborn or determined, whatever it is she knows what she wants and I have a feeling she will be walking very soon!

Eyes: Blue but starting to change

Diapers: size 4

Cloths: 12 months or 12-18 months 

Milestones:

She is a full on finger food loving girl! She eats breakfast, lunch and dinner and eats more than her big brother during most meals. Some of her favorite foods include pasta, chicken, strawberries, blueberries, avocado, rice and cherrios but honestly she will try anything and really loves food

Speaking of food, if she eats something she finds particularly yummy she actually will start humming "yummmmmmm" while she gums whatever it is 

Her preferred method of eating is to grab fist-full of her tiny bits and squeeze the food until it pops out of her fist right into her mouth 

She is still rocking just her two bottom teeth 

As mentioned above she is taking steps like a big girl! 

Poor girl had her first 2 earaches this month and they were not fun at all 

Some of her favorite toys to play with is her ball popper, stacking cups, her sorting toy, matchbox cars (they are great to chew on), her activity tables and anything that she can push while walking 

She is still waking up on average 3 times a night and is up for the day by 6. She is always super happy though and as soon as she sees Eric or Owen when they wake up she showers them with smiles  and big waves 

She loves to bang things together, pull things off any shelf she can reach, open and close doors which has gotten her trapped in the bathroom and bedrooms a few times now, loves laundry day -- she is a super helper at helping empty the fresh laundry to help me fold, and while I'm folding she loves to unfold my piles and when its time to put the cloths away the fun really begins! As soon as I open the drawers she starts pulling out all of the cloths and thinks its hilarious  

If she could be just like her big brother she would. Anything he has she has to try too. For example yesterday Owen had a lollypop and she screamed until she got one, and surprisingly enough she actually licked almost all of it

She is so observant and has been since she was a newborn its like she is just soaking in everything the world has to offer her and she doesn't miss a thing
