Owen's Stats:
Weight: About 20 lbs
Height: We won't know his height until his 9 month appointment
Diapers: Size 3
Cloths: 9 month in pretty much everything ... although some 6-9 month cloths still fit
What Owen has been up to:
He has been working on crawling but the furthest he has gotten has been scooting backwards. He has made a massive improvement though. Before when we would put him on his belly he would just flap his arms and legs in the air like he was trying to fly ... although he looked more like a fish out of water :). Now he only does that every so often between scooting backwards and trying to get his legs underneath him.
He has been eating solid foods twice a day and we are going to start 3 times a day this week. He has tried rice and oatmeal cereal, pears, apples, mangos, plums, peaches, nectarines, bananas, squash, zucchini, carrots, peas, sweat potatoes and green beans. Let's just say he would be happy to live without green beans, peas and carrots.
He has mastered sitting!
He loves to be outside. We try to go for walks at least twice a day and if he is really fussy we can just put him down in the grass and he is as happy as can be.
He still thinks Lexi is hilarious. He laughs at her all of the time -- it may be one of the cutest things he does.
He is VERY strong! He loves to pull on tug on anything and everything that he can get his little "paws" on.
He also loves to put anything he can in his mouth ... especially things he is not suppose to have!
He still loves his bouncer and has even figured out his walker. His favorite thing to do in the walker has to be pulling the dish towels off of the stove.
He loves loves loves to baby babble and sometimes will even sign me a little baby babble song.
He is officially a little water baby. Not only does he love tubby time but he likes to go in the pool, play in the sink and anything else that has to do with water.
Just about the end of his 5th month he figured out how to grab/pick-up his pacifier and stick it in and out of his mouth ... which comes in very handy during nap and bedtimes.
He is still not sleeping through the night ... maybe this will be the month that he decides he can do it? We can only hope. He goes to sleep between 7-8 and has a 7 hour stretch before waking up to either eat, talk or bang on his crib rails with his binky for an hour or two in is crib (between the hours of 3 am and 5 am) and is up for the day at 6:30 ...
He loves to stand and be upright. He will even take a few steps for you if you hold his hands. He has only started to pull himself up and the place he likes to do it is in the tub of course!
Happy 7 months baby boy! You sure do light up our lives with all of your smiles, giggles, baby talks and sweet cuddles. We love you to the moon and back!

It won't be long now until he's on the loose! xoxxo Mom
