Happy Thanksgiving

This year was a very different Thanksgiving celebration for us. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Eric, Lexi and I had to celebrate Thanksgiving in Boston. We found this out yesterday so we did a little last minute shopping at the grocery store last night and mustered up a make-shift turkey day celebration. It wasn't as good as our celebrations that we have at our parents house (this is the first thanksgiving that Eric and I have not been with our families for this holiday) and definitely lacked in company and some of our favorite foods, but for something put together last minute, it worked.

We started our day watching the parade then watched some football, took a small walk to the park, ate all day and celebrated with a friendy's fudge roll and blueberry pie. Overall it wasn't what we were used too and we definitely missed our families but had a nice relaxing little day with just the three of us.

First we started with some appetizers
Second task was cooking the main meal -- this was our turkey for the day ... who knew they made turkey breasts?
The finished product!
Everything was so yummy -- green bean casserole, turkey and gravy, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, rolls, stuffing and cranberry sauce
Dessert Time! (The little ice cream is for Lexi :))

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
