Sleepy Bear

Along with the rest of New England we have been sitting in a massive heat wave for the past 2 weeks with temps above 90 everyday and dropping to high 70s at night if we are lucky. Mix that with high humidity and you can only imagine how unbearable it has been in our apartment! We are lucky enough to have AC in our bedroom and it has been blasting non-stop to help keep our little fur ball Lexi cool during the day and all of us cool at night.

Well for the past week or so, Eric and I have been brave and have been watching tv in the living room at night despite the heat. Lexi would do her best to stay with us but around 8:30 or so she would disappear -- which is very odd for her because she is a little lovebug and if she is not with people, she is usually up to no good. So I would go investigate and check her favorite places to hide --- below the cookie jar or on the stairs waiting to go out. After looking in these spots and not finding her I ventured into the bedroom and who do I find? One very sleepy bear passed out on the bed ready for bedtime in the cold AC.

So our little sleep bear has been putting herself to bed every night around 8:30. We even had a break in the heat last night and she still jumped off the couch and went into the bedroom to go get some rest. She is one very funny doggy!! :)
